Old Photos pt 3 In memory
flowerjen what great pictures! I love the styles. Your mother looks like a woman of great character.
me, my sis, my grandma(mom's mom) and my mom, visiting my grandma in Edmonton in 1987
Thanks Lynnie.
One of the memories written by one of her friends at her funeral service "Some people say a lot in a few words and some people say a little in a lot of words but Nina truly said a lot in a lot of words, what she called "blabber" was full of wisdom and encoragement...words of encouragement and gentle but direct words of challenge"
and another "when you got to know her you couldn't help but love her"
I could have guessed the year by your hairstyle, flowerjen ;)
lol
Beautiful family Jen...such wonderful memories for sure!!
lovely shots Jen.. big ole hugs!!!
It's great that you have so many pictures of your mom through the years. She sounds like a great person who left an indelible mark on all those she encountered.
I'm sure you miss her very much.
Kathy
Great shots, Jen! Like you, your mom was very pretty. Your dad reminds me of someone - trying to remember.
Wonderfully captured memories Jen.
Wow - might be! Solidarity!
I was trying to find older pics of Mr Valensa when they really looked similiar. My family is Russian and you know way back when the borders kept changing between Poland and Russia, so may be a long lost relative.
That's funny.
Usually it was Russia doing the border changing!
Yes it was.
lovely memories.
Some more pics from an album I had shipped back from GA since it was so heavy and didn't want to carry it on the plane.
My sis brought 4 huge albums up from FL so we made memory boards to have out at the wake. Then we split all the pics so we had the ones that pertained to us individually. Then we split up the old ones so we each had some. The album I had shipped home was all of me growing up, it was like I was only child since I'm 12 years younger than the youngest of the siblings. I never even lived with my oldest sis, she was in college when I was born and then she got married right after.
This was 1978 High Point NJ
They could be brothers.
Uncle Lech!
Love the swing pic!
You didn't smile too often, Jen!
Yeah, my bros and sisters say I was a brat. Lot better things to do than pose for pics I guess.☺
No really, I remember since kindergarten I didn't like my smile.
Wonderful pics of your mom Jen, looks like she was a very nice lady! Thanks for sharing! ☺
I can't believe a kid as young as a kindergartener would even think about their smile!
You look very pretty.
I remember you smiling in your wedding shot!
