Is it bad to make worm casting tea in the freezing winter?

mobile, AL(Zone 8a)

Sorry for asking this silly question but I really want to make sure that I am doing the right thing. I've been making worm casting tea about every month to give my veggies a boost and also help them fight bad critters but I never expected this really cold spell we are having.

I just finished a 4 day brew today and I poured the tea on all my plants and then proceded to cover them with plastic since it will get down really cold for the next few days but I am wondering if I am doing more harm than not, since it is really cold won't the microbes just die, and also with the plants wet, won't this make them more succeptible to frost bite?

I am wondering whether I should just do the side dressing of the castings in the winter and then continue with compost tea when the weather gets milder.
