Xavier became very sick yesterday and we rushed him to the emergency vet. The vet is pretty sure he has chronic renal failure but the diagnosis is complicated by an infection and shock. All of this was a big shock since he has been doing fine since healing from a bite wound (from a neighborhood stray tom) in November. He's pretty critical right now but if he makes it, I know it's going to require a lot of care long term to treat the renal failure.
