I was taking pictures of House Sparrows in the feeders today and when I downloaded my photo's I noticed this little gal/fella in one of the feeders with the sparrow. I've looked through my bird book but can't figure out which bird this is. My first thought is a juvenile or female Common Yellowthroat ... but, I'm as bad at identifying birds as I am plants!
This isn't a great picture but hopefully someone will recognize this bird ... the little guy at the top. Thanks for any help!

CLOSED: Who am I?
Looks like a female Scarlet Tanager Lin.
Given it is no bigger than the bird in front (Chipping Sparrow), I would say this is a female Painted Bunting.

Thanks Burd! I looked at photo's of Common Yellowthroat and also Goldfinches which we see on rare occasions but couldn't quite find a match. I've never seen a Scarlet Tanager. Reading in my Florida Bird book it says they are seen here only during migration September and October, and that although they may be seen throughout the state they are more commonly seen in the Panhandle. So, if this is indeed a female Scarlet Tanager I feel very fortunate to have one at my feeders! I will be watching the feeders the next few days to see if I spot another one!
Ok ... going to look at painted buntings now! I've only seen one Painted Bunting in the 35 years we've been in this house.
I should flip more pages when trying to Id. lol
Your probably right, there in range, and Ive never seen a Scarlet Tanager either. lol
Looks like slobird/Greg got it! After looking at many photo's and reading in my bird book, it looks to definitely be a Painted Bunting! It says though numerous birds over-winter in central and south Florida, most Painted Buntings leave the state by late October! I feel very fortunate to have seen one this time of year ... maybe she was filling up at the feeder for the trip farther south! We are expected to have temperatures here in Daytona Beach tonight @ 28ºF! Not fit for man or birds to be out in that cold! ^_^ The next few nights here are predicted to be 28º, 25º and 26º with a hard freeze! I think I want to fly south with the birds!
Thanks to you all for looking at my not so good photo and helping identify this cutie!
Female Painted Bunting for me too.
Resin
Thanks! I agree, and I would have never been able to identify it without the "eyes" of y'all here on this forum!
