I purchased 2 Dwarf "Early Richmond" Cherry Trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. I am not sure here I am going to put them in the yard. Has anyone had any experience with these? I cannot get exact information on them, and want to find out if they would be suitable in large pots. I also posted this in the Tree forum. Thanks, Jennifer
Dwarf Cherry Tree in Container???
It's easily doable with a little basic knowledge about what it takes to keep trees happy in containers. I've maintained a number of plants in the Prunus genus in containers. It's not all that complicated, but they do insist on good drainage, which means that your run-of-the-mill bagged potting soil is not the best, or even a good choice.
