A coworker of mine caught this hawk in her barn, kept it long enough to take some pictures, then released it. It looks young.

It looks like a juvenile Cooper's Hawk. I have them in my yard going after my feeder birds all the time!
With that long tail it may be Northern Goshawk.
Agree with juv Cooper's; I don't think it has the bulk and heavy talons necessary for Gos
