I took Kayli to the vet, and she's now a recovering-from-5 teeth-removed kitty with a silky coat and fine breath! I found out she loves pillpockets--where the pain pills were embedded--and would eat them as snacks if we let her. She was terrific about eating her clindomycin-laced food, too (I'd guess we're within a day of the last of the med) Kayli was a rescue cat from a house of 200, and he thinks her problem might be stress-related. We'll take her in in 3 months to see if the removal, the cleaning and the clindomycin--and now being in a secure, loving home--took care of the problem.
So, again, my husband and I can't thank you all enough for the unanimous advice to see our vet.
Happy New Year to you all!
