Tufted Titmouse enjoying a Black Oil Sunflower seed.

Columbus, GA(Zone 8a)

This Tufted Titmouse landed on the feeder, grabbed a Black Oil Sunflower seed and flew up to a neighboring branch.

My Carolina Chickadees do the same thing.

On the neighboring branch it got down to business - beating the stuffing out of the seed. This little routine goes on and on.

That's always so cute… but makes it tough to photograph at the feeder!!

I find it is a challenge to photograph a bird in a tree. For this pic I had to use manual focus, because all the limbs and twigs between the bird and me made the 70-300 seek and seek, while on auto focus.

Yah, I have that problem often, unless they are on one of the branches close to me. That's one of the reason why I really have problems in the field! they are never close, always hiding in those darn branches.

I have the same problem with the branches. Sounds like you have lots of birds to photograph Hack. Enjoy yourself!

Mrs_Ed and ducbuclin. I get it in manual focus and then I find that if I start snapping pics as I SLOWLY rotate the focus ring back and forth, I can at least find one snap that looks to be in focus. I am snapping rapidly, too.
