This video gave me a new found perspective of how mighty an Eagle can be. Check out the video.

Also here's a link to where an Eagle attacked a photographer:

Eagles used to hunt wolves video...amazing
Thanks for the link Met. Noticed the one wolf seemed to have the upper hand for a second until the other GE got there. They must have a large population of wolves in Mongolia. Those Talon's are definitely lethal looking and large.
Thanks for the video, Al. Although perhaps viewed unfavorably by some, I find this ancient tradition of "Berkutchi" quite fascinating. It is a tradition that is often hereditary, handed down through generations. It is similar to falconry practiced here in the U.S. Speaking to a local falconer last year, with a Peregrine Falcon, he told me that it is very easy to develop the bird's skills. I had asked if he was concerned that when he released the falcon for the first time was he afraid that it would not come back. He responded, No !
There is a proverb in Kazakhstan that goes like this:
"There are three things a real man should have: a fast horse, a hound, and a golden eagle".
I've had a fast horse. I've hunted behind a hound. All that remains is the Golden Eagle ..............
I found this interesting site about Golden eagles - a formidable predator - even a Bald Eagle can hold a candle to it..
