I just 'bragged about' my thrill today of sighting this beauty. See my blog linked above. Have added it to the BF also.
Am adding a pic here, but there are better ones in the BF.
Indian Golden Oriole spotted here
Beautiful bird Dinu...Congratulations!!
fantastic bird
He is a beauty Dinu!
Wow, he's gorgeous!!
Nice!
One point that's a little out-of-date - just recently, the Indian Golden Oriole (now Oriolus kundoo) has been split as a separate species from European Golden Oriole (Oriolus oriolus). As you say in your blog, it has a larger black eye patch; it is also largely non-migratory, while European Golden Oriole is a long-distance migrant, going to southern Africa in the winter.
I'll adapt the BirdFiles page to reflect the split in the next day or two; I should be able to do it without breaking the link in your blog.

Beautiful Bird Dinu!!
Thanks.
Yes, Resin, you may do that and that will be precise stuff. The Book of Indian Bird shows it as Eurasian I.G.O. I too wondered about that kundoo thing.
Beautiful, Dinu.
Hack
Done!
Resin
Thanks Resin, saw it.
