My very first bloom!!!

North Port, FL(Zone 9b)

Juanita!!! Look what I got for Christmas this morning. This is the cutting of Xena that you sent me in September. I can't believe it bloomed already. This is my second brugmansia. My other one has buds but I don't know it's name. I'm definitely hooked. Thank you again Juanita!!

Merry Christmas everyone....Annette.

Congratulations, Annette! It looks like she is going to color up beautifully.

I just have to mention that I see your kitty is right next to the pool. You have to be so careful because the cat could easily slip in and she/he might not be able to get out. You can lose them in a few seconds!

That's Molly. She waits for me to let her into the pool area every morning but I always watch over her while I drink my coffee :)

Oh, I'm so happy to know that you are watching her. Here in Phoenix we lose so many pets and, worse yet, children in pools.

That is totally cool Annette. That brug is in it's Happy Place. I'm so glad. I have many more that are rooting right now that I can send you in the Spring. Just remind me.

Lovely Annette... a great bloom.. I think the waxy look of some is my favorite type of flower.. thick and smooth flowrs.. the color is wonderful now.. with it's showing of green...
I wonder about your leaves though.. Something is there you could help.. I don't know if growing close to a chlorine pond or perhaps a spraying of something for mites.. perhaps broad mites.. thecrinkled leaves show a possibility there... what's your insect population like there..

North Port, FL(Zone 9b)

I know. The leaves look awful Gordon, but I think I've nipped whatever it was by spraying with neem oil. There are so many insecfts here.....

Very nice flower!!!! Once you get one bloom, the addiction is on.

Bugs!!! the nasty little critters. I am still amazed at how toxic these plants are but it has no side effects to the bugs. LOL

This a pic of my unknown brug that I had mentioned in my previous post. It is much lighter in color but absolutely gorgeous with pale green and pink blooms. I am completely hooked on these now.

Happy New Year to everyone at DG's!!! Annette.

You're killin' me Annette! We had another 3 inches of snow this morning. What I wouldn't do to smell a brug right now. :))

Molly looks like she is fishing. I do see the pool steps in the water that shse could use. Most cats can swim, they just don't like it.
