Any damp moist environment is ripe for fungus/fungi...and I have been using a Copper spray by Bonide successfully. Some of my thinner leaved hoyas have gotted yellow blotches, sometimes with a darker spot in the yellow.... a yellow mottling too and with my trusty spray bottle I simply give it a blast and seems to take care of it. Particularly vulnerable seem to be the H. coriacea, H. fraterna, variegated H. javanica. It also takes care of a wierd thing that happens to the leaves of cv. Sunrise and H. obscura.....

PS Photo is of H. imperialis umbel with one flower of a different color! The umbel seems to be affected by a virus...but it doesn't bother me at all....
I like this fungicide.....
Ooh I like that imperialis. I think the splotched look is pretty. Is the fungus catching or is it just because of the damp conditions?
Thanks,
Dee
Some viruses are transferable...some aren't. Variegation is caused by a virus....I think it is like that... Some of the splotching seems to come and go....
