Four of them showed up this morning and I got more than 500 pictures while they waited for their turn in the meal worm feeder. Many are redundant but I thought I would share some.
A few more (perhaps a lot more ) Tufted Titmice.
Hey, Dave, how long do your meal worms live in the cold? And do you have any BB feeding with the T-mice?

Hack:
To answer your question, the meal worms will survive the cold a lot better than the sunshine or the heat. I often leave some in a plastic carton (with a lid on it) out on the deck overnight when the temp drops below freezing and they are still alive next day
But really, my BBs don't seem to care if the meal worms are alive or dead. They will eat them frozen. But they won't eat them when they turn black from the heat of summer.
My birds observe a strict pecking order. Nobody even enters the cage while Papa is eating. Then nobody eats until Mama has eaten. Then all the juveniles that want to, crowd in. Only five or six can get at the bowl at the same time. I have one juvenile female and one juvenile male that are less aggressive and prefer to wat till everybody is finished. The male may be from another family. He still has trouble getting into the wire cage although that is one of the first things my young fledglings learn to do.
After all the bluebirds are finished, the song sparrows take over, then the carolina wrens and THEN the titmice. The only birds the titmice outrank are the chickadees.
I might mention that the carolina wrens are very quick and rather daring. They will often zip in, grab a worm and zip out before the blues can react.
Here you see at least five crowded around the bowl.
Excellent Shots Dave!
Thanks for the info Dave.

OK, let me see if I can add a couple more. It is snowing big time outside and they have again revised their prediction of what we can expect. Now they say 16 to 24 inches. Looking outside I can see we have at least 6 inches accumulation already and the hardest snowfall is expected from now through tomorrow night. Makes you wonder where the birds are huddled. At least we have no wind.
Great shots Dave! They are such sweet little birds.
Nice shots Dave. I just love when the titmouse and the chicadees come around, especially their calls.
Such cute birds!
Adorable!
Gosh, they're all cute and that last one is my favorite. Great job Dave.
I really like the shot of him looking back at you while clinging to the wire fence.
Nice ones Dave!
Thanks ge; that is a beautiful living wreath!
Thanks,I borrowed it from the net.
So rare to see an unposed picture.
Great shots as always. These little birds are so cute. Love to see them up close. Your pictures are always matted frame quality. Or should I say, just plainly "art"
I wonder about birds though, with their eyes on the sides of their heads, are they looking at you when their beak faces you, or when their eye faces you? Or can they just see you all the time?
Such a cute bird Dave and one of my favorites...you've really done them justice!
ge...What a gorgeous living wreath...thanks for posting it!
Beautiful photos Dave.
