Chirita tamiana

Brookfield, CT

OK, so this isn't quite blooming yet. I started this from seed obtained from the Gesneriad Society earlier this year, late winter if I remember correctly. Easy germination. The flower tube seems to be held in between two very large sepals. I need to up the nitrogen, the leaves are looking pale.

Great growing Wandygirl! I love Chirita tamiana ... one of the easiest for me! I have two little tamiana's, one that I received in trade a few years ago, and another that came from seed from the Gesneriad Society. Mine are pretty much neglected and would probably bloom more often if I fed them once in awhile, LOL.
