Now I would have loved the sun to be a little bit higher in the sky but I thought this was a good start for me. By spring I want a handle on this camera for Warblers. Right now I need to learn to get the focus better, but these were decent. Most are cropped.
Start of with the White-breasted Nuthatch
A few shots with the new camera.
Very nice Burd. Nice shots of the nuthatches. I've never seen a red breasted.
Thx Dave, the Nuthatches are the easiest to photograph of all my birds.
Burd_Fotos - Did you snap these pics with your Canon Rebel T1i 500D, isn't that you new one?
Which lens did you use - EFS-18-55mm or 55-250mm?
How far away were you from the birds?
The photos look sharp and clear.
Hack
Was using the 55-250mm Hack, feeders are about 8 feet away from inside the patio. All were cropped, didn't zoom quite all the way out, and had a lot of them that didn't turn out but that my focusing errors.
Nice shots, Burd. Have fun exploring the new camera.
Great photos! DH just asked what I was smiling about - it was your pics.
Great photos Burd!
Nice shots Burd! Have a good time w/ the new camera!
These are great Burd! Hope you are liking the new camera! I love my T1i!
Thx for the comments all! I,m glad I got the camera! Still haven't got the focus tamed the way I would like, but were working on it.
Mr. Cooper showed up today and gave me a 5 minute photo shoot just before I had to leave for work. I was playing around between auto focus and manual focus and by accident turned off the stabilizer button, luckily I was with tripod and got some shots that were ok and did some cropping.
Mr. Cooper
Great ones of the beautiful Coopers Hawk!
Great photos!
Yes, I like them too.
Nice photos, Burd, and congratulations on your new camera. All I have seen at my bird feeders this morning are 98% Blackbirds, Juncos and Doves. The Blackbirds keep the smaller birds away from the feeder.
Thx all! Linth, try to eliminate what the blackbirds are eating and they will leave, of course they left here back in Sept. but some go south and some head to the woods, I seen a flock of Grackle's fly over earlier in the week.
The flight shot of the Cooper's will be getting a face lift tonight (photoshop/picasa), Ive found a nice sky background and want to see if I can pull it off.
Very nice Burd!! Great ones of the Hawk. I hope maybe the RBN will come back this year. They are so sweet!
