Many of you know I adore my furbaby Zapita, she's like my own child. As such we always try to give her the best, healthiest and top quality food we can. I've been feeding a mix of Evo Red & Innova for the past 6-7 months before that is was straight innova (chicken) after switching vets several problems popped up that required specialized treatment so we were referred to another vet. I like him, he seems well informed, skilled etc but the problem is this...
One of the problems he's found is that Zapita has colitis. The obvious symptoms didn't show themselves until this week after several weeks of heavy anti-biotic treatment for a staph infection caused by a tear duct problem & dry nose. The vet has put her on Science Diet, many of you know my feelings about SD. The vet, as most vets do, detest Innova, says it's junk and that SD is the TOP food made for dogs blah blah blah...I've tried to get him to tell me A) what about Innova he doesn't like B) what makes SD so special etc not getting answers.
So I need input from breeders, vets etc if possible. I would never knowingly do anything to harm her, and if the Innova has then I'll blame myself for putting her in this uncomfortable situation but I also want to feed her the best food for her needs that will promote a long and healthy life.
