Greetings from Key West!

What a wonderful surprise! It is finally cool enough here in zone 10 to plant my vegetables, and I find Dave's garden! This seems to be just the community that I've been looking for. I'm a relative novice, having grown simple tomatoes and herbs for the last three years. Now I have the confidence to try some more ambitious things. I'm basically growing a salad. Lettuces, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, herbs, and some eggplants all in containers. More may follow if I have luck! I appreciate having all of your posts to review, and any advice that is forthcoming.

Wow! I started in on my journal today. That is a cool feature. Very easy to navigate.
I sowed some seeds today, although I've never had luck with that, I'm keeping my fingers crossed (dirt under my nails and all :) )

P.S> dori- If you had to be here in summer, I don't think you'd be jealous. Four + months of never going below 85* even at night, you never stop sweating! ;)

velocitrix, welcome from the balmy swamps of Louisiana! Just wanted to let you know something about our little miss "notmartha"...she does not take to kindly to "rub-in's" of our wonderful temps..lol..she has been known to tar and feather me on several occasions just at the mention of 85+ temps in december...*giggle*...glad you are here to join in the fun!
