Mailing Brug cuttings

Valdosta, GA(Zone 8b)

I am going to be mailing out some Brugmansia cuttings and need to know if I should de-leaf the leaves that have sprouted since the cuttings? I had taken off all the leaves when I made the cuttings and put them in water and they have leafed again.

I would leave them on. There is always a chance, they'll survive the trip and will better off if they do. Before you mail the cuttings, check the weather forecast and try to mail them when there is no danger of freezing temperatures. Use priority mail and use the triangular priority boxes. You can wrap more layers of newspaper around them using those boxes. It costs a bit more, but the cuttings are safer.
