Magic cookie bars - easy

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

1/2 cup margarine or butter (I always use butter)
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 14 oz. can Eagle Brand condensed milk
1 12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 (325 for glass pan). In 13 x 9 baking pan, melt butter in oven. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter; pour Eagle Brand evenly over crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients; press down. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if decided. Cut into squares. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

(some people add butterscotch chips and then call them 7 layer bars)
