White-throated? Sparrows are kind of hard to ID:) I'll post a few pics. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Burd & Res!

One I haven't seen (or haven't noticed) around my house before. Sorry I didn't get a front-facing picture. It flew up around the same time some Grackles approached. Unlike them, it had dark eyes and a yellow beak. It flew away before I got the opportunity to get another shot. I'm hoping the markings are sufficient to identify it. Thank you.

Sorry -- I posted in the wrong spot!!! Forgive the error!

Took another look at this one after Greg (Slobird) sent me a DM - he thinks it's a Chipping Sparrow with an unusually white throat, not White-throated Sparrow. After a second look, I gotta agree.

Thanks for the revision, Res & Slobird. I've seen some more sparrows in my backyard recently that look distinctly like Chipping Sparrows, so I guess that's what I've had all along. I'll try to upload some pics soon.

Here is a link to a photo that shows that sometimes those Chippie's sport a white bib. Second row down, bird on the left - click to enlarge.
