In which book did you find a Cylindropuntia ursina?
As far as I know there is only a (Platy)opuntia ursina. Aka Opuntia polyacantha v. erinacea.

If yours actually is cylindrical it must be another Cylindropuntia or Grusonia.

This is actually Opuntia polyacantha var. erinacea,

What Zaragoza might be thinking of is...Opuntia polyacantha v. erinacea f. ursina, which has bleach white spines and very long spines (about 7 inches long). (aka: O. polyacantha f. ursina)
But this photo is Not of that.

Xeno.

Hence this Cylindropuntia entry should be deleted and the photo moved!

I don't use books for name my cacti... this plant (died long time ago) was received from a cacti collector and was sent to me with this name. I will be grateful with a correct identification of the plant of the photo.

The variety has been changed now.
The correct identification of this plant is Opuntia polyacantha var. nicholii
