crinum

Greensboro, NC(Zone 8a)

I have a C. macowanii that arived in a box last spring...I grew it in a pot over the summer, and as I live in a 'cold' place, brought it inside to overwinter. Except it doesn't want to quit growing! Do I let it keep going? What do these creatures do in warmer places? I have it in my 'down to 50 degree' bedroom in a south window. I paid a lot of $ for this baby and sure don't want to lose it!
HELP!

If it is happy and growing in your down to 50 degree bedroom then let it keep growing. I grow them in the ground here and when we get into the 20's they die back but if I was in a warmer area of the city they would keep growing year round. Anyway yours should be just fine.

Thank you! Should I at least give it it's 'dry spell'?

I think you could do that. Just kind of watch the leaves they will let you know if they need water.

i have some of the pink crimuns have never had a prodlem with them being out side . they go to the ground in winter and come back in spring. can,t have anything that gets that big in the house. you will have to keep it in this winter because its at 50 and its not 50 out side. they are very adaptable bulbs
