Ornithogallum longibracteum ?

Is it unusual for O. longibracteum? (pregnant onion) to send 2 bloom spikes from the same bulb? It never did this before and I was just wondering.

I am not sure, but I know my one little bulb given to me in the 80's has produced a monster. It has appeared everywhere in other containers and in the beds in my gh. So it is a real love hate thing. But I loved the question as I never knew it's name. Thanks. I will post a reply if I notice two coming out of the same bulb. Patti

The one that is double stalking is a bandit that overtook a pot of agapanthus. There is still agapanthus in there, but it is so small by comparison, so I know exactly what you mean. I have it all over the place, too. I can't let a baby die though, so I toss it in whatever pot is nearby as long as it's a bigger plant than the ornithogallum.
