Here is the new thread for the week. We're starting out with some serious prayer needs. For those of you who didn't read about Ric's friend's son please go back to last week's thread and then go to the prayer forum. Look for Dusty's son thread.
Also in need of prayer is our own Sue and her family who have health and employment issues that are very stressful to all of them. They are living in the valley of trials and trying to climb that mountain in the path way to joy and relief from at least some of it.
The temps are lovely this morning. K.C. station predicted last night that we would be up to a record breaking 72* this afternoon. I can handle that. I'll do some house cleaning this morning then try to spend some time outside in all that glorious sunshine. Sedalia stations says upper 60.
My DG friend and my former PG supervisor are going to try for a visit again tomorrow. I do pray Pepper23's brothers and father get me at least one nice big deer. I saw 3 big does on the way home from the cafe' last night. Thinking I wish someone would shoot one for me.
Breakfast was Kashi Go Lean with some oatmeal stirred in to thicken it because I added too much milk. I also ground a few peanuts and sliced almonds and added them to it. Really too much food for one sitting but I'm sure I'll be full for quite a long time. I have some lean smoked pork thawed for lunch and supper. I brought a salad home from the cafe' as well as some taco meat. LOTS of taco meat really. About 2 or 3 big burritos worth. They know I love the meat and refried beans. Why do they call them refried beans? They have never been fried that I know of but are just mashed pinto(?) beans. Nowadays they get heated in a microwave so they never see a frying pay.
Debbie, how are things at your house?
Larkie, update please. I need to go back and get that salad recipe.
Tina, how was your holiday? Big family dinners?
Sandra, can you post and let us know how you and Lindsey and your DH are doing? I think I remember you saying you finally got all the bulbs planted.
Has anyone else started getting seed catalogs yet? I have one from Gurney's. I didn't see anything in it I feel I must have. I need to read thru it more carefully before getting rid of it. Of course I can also shop online. The only thing I didn't get last year that I really wanted was the Hansa rose. I'll likely get that when I go with Kris on a Mother's Day shopping trip to nurseries.
What business it is of anyone elses why Tiger Woods was leaving his home at 2:30 in the morning? Can't the man even go get some ice cream, etc. in early morning hours like anyone else? One report said it was after a domestic dispute. Better to leave than say something they would both regret or that it become a physically violent incident. GOOD GRIEF!! I'm so thankful I am not wealthy or famous.
Must get moving. Much to do today. GOD bless and keep each of you.
