I got a sweet potato slip from an East Texas Round up and look at what I dug up! I have never seen anything like it.
What a sweet potato!
That is indeed a strange sweet potato, I haven't seen one like it either.
It looks like it might be the white variety with a very odd shape.
It almost looks like it could be a Jicama. They are usually more rounded, not so bumpy looking.

It does kind of look like Jicama, but all the rest of the vine made more potato like lumps, so I am thinking it is one of the white varieties of sweet potatoes. I'm just hoping it is fine to eat!
I am curious, what color is the vine foliage? I am thinking it could be one of the ornamental sweet potato vines.
I was given 4 different varieties a year ago, and all the other ones were orange varieties, so I think this is the O’ Henry cultivar. It also matches O' Henry pictures on other websites. I think I will try one of the smaller potatoes before I cut up the big one.
Your pic looks the rear end of a very curvy person with a tail!
