New Hoya plant

North Port, FL(Zone 9b)

Can anyone tell the name of this plant that I have just been given as a gift please? It was marked Hoya but I have no idea what its needs are. Thanks.

Hi Annette, looks like the Hoya nummulariods(bad spell). I let mine dry out in between watering, eastern exposure. Flowers in the fall, very fragrant prolific bloomer, I love this hoya.

Thank you Jan. Can you also tell me whether it is easy to root from cuttings and if so what kind of soil should I use. Thank again.

Annette.

I use same soil to root cuttings & to re pot plants.
Equal parts of perlite, orchid bark or small lava rock chunks and potting soil.
I think this one is not really easy to root, at least for me.
