Hi Everyone,
So many of us use the clear Solo cups for rooting leaves or growing our baby plants. I don't know how you all go about labeling your pots. I started getting too many noids because labels got knocked out of pots. So I have started using these DecoColor fine line paint markers. If you use the brighter colors rather than the dark ones, the plant names are really easy to read. They are about $4.00 in the craft stores, but I found someone on Ebay who sells them for only $1.25. If you are interested here is the link to this item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280425990094&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
This seller will continue to carry this item. It's not a one time listing. They really do work very well. I tried other markers and found them difficult to read once the soil was in the pot.

DecoColor fine line paint markers for plant labels
Thanks for the link Pat!! Those will come in handy for a lot of things.

It's not pretty, but I use masking tape and whatever permanent marker, then if I move to a different pot, I can move the tag along with it. I had stick markers at one time, then my children took to playing in the plant pots and the markers came up missing. It was very mysterious and strange. Anyway, so far they haven't peeled the tape off :).
Pat, is that what you use on your baggies? It's so pretty.
Actually what I used to write on the plastic bags was Elementz Metallic Markers from Walmart. They aren't so easy to read on the clear plastic cups once the soil is in the cup. That's why I switched to the DecoColor paint markers. Gail is trying the paint markers too. You can get very similar colors in the paint markers.
The Deco-color markers are awesome!! These are what Tony Advent from Plants delight uses. I have used them for years, the black doesn't fade outside (other colors will) or in my water lily pots. This is a great price too-- I hosted 2 really succesful co-ops for these markers and couldn't get them that cheaply!! Edited to add-- I checked out the link--I actually use the "extra fine" marker-- but this is still a really good price!!
