Coat maintenance for cats

I'd love some suggestions on care of our cat's coat. Kayli is a tabby, about 2 years old, and her coat has been very "clumpy" for the last month. I'd brushed it with a soft-bristle brush, but that didn't remove the clumpy effect. This morning I literally combed her coat, and removed a tremendous amount of hair, but the clumping is now gone, and her coat's smooth again. She always has shed, but when she was in to the vet for her year checkup in August, she got a clean bill of health. She'd been eating a lot of seafood-based wet food for the last month. Any ideas?
