Trip to the lake

Norman, OK

We took a trip out to Lake Thunderbird yesterday evening. Spent most of our time looking for eagles, but didn't see any. But, we saw lots of birds and deer. Saw 3 bucks. The rut must be starting, they were out and moving during the day.

I've seen this Roadrunner several times. He seems curious. Will almost always come out of the woods to check out a running vehicle, then dart back to cover.

Some marina mongrels. Pulled up in the car to check out some gulls sitting on the breakwater barrier and these beggars came running from the water to my window to beg for food.

Goodness, you really listed a great list of birds! You were lucky to catch a photo of the Roadrunner. It really blended in with the grasses.
