my DD went to a dr a year ago and got glasses. Dr said she is basically blind unless it is smack in front of her face.
So we got glasses. We hate them. They are always lost, needing adjusted, or repairs, lenses scratched, ect
Now they are wearing a sore on the back of her ear.
She never would wear them really unless I make her. Finally she started wearing them, but if I give her the option of not wearing them, she takes them off immediately with a sigh of relief.
I don't understand why she won't wear them if they are correcting her vision. Wouldn't she want the wear them?!
Half the time they look like they are falling off or she is looking 'over' them. I also thought that maybe the prescription was never right in the first place. I just don't know what to think of it all.
She has GORGEOUS huge black eyes with the longest lashes I think I have ever seen. I hate to see those covered up.
Even after a year, I can't get used to her wearing them, she just looks so much nicer without them.
So I asked the dr today about contacts and he said they start those on kids as young as 6.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with kids wearing contacts? It has been a year since her last exam, so I think she will need new glasses anyway, so I thought about trying the contacts.
