Dominic
Mark: what an outstanding issue!
Thank you Carol for the wonderful article on David Liddle and his lovely Iris Marie, and telling us about the day to day workings of that fabulous nursery!
Thanks also to Ted Green for his great Travel article. The photo of Mount Kinabalu alone makes me wish I could take a trip to Sabah, Malaysia ... not to mention all the Hoya's to be seen there!
Thanks to Surisa Somadee for sharing her favorite 10 Hoya's! The H. thailandica is truly amazing, what a beautiful bloom!
And, of course many thanks to you Mark for your hard work and sharing of this wonderful publication with all of us!
I would have posted this on the Stemma site but am still not able to post on my yahoo groups for some reason, and haven't had a chance to notify yahoo to get the problem fixed. So, if you'd like to copy and past my comments over there that would be fine. If that's not possible, please give my compliments to Ted Green and Surisa Somadee for their contributions to the current Stemma issue! Great job!

Sorted Mark. It was a Safari issue, downloading fine with Firefox..:))
Dom
Dom- I've had that trouble with Safari too.
My husband is always telling me to use Firefox, he says it's more reliable but I always use Safari for some reason. I've heard others here on DG say that Firefox is better too so I don't know why I still use Safari.
LOL ... I just noticed a little icon at the bottom of this screen that says "DG is best using Firefox". Maybe I should listen and heed the advice! ^_^
I get bored with having to wait for Firefox to 'update' itself everytime I open it Lin, so I stick to Safari and Im a staunch Mac supporter.....Perhaps if Safari 'updated' itself more often, I wouldnt have the problem tho, eh? Being a Mac person, and avoid anything remotely connected to Microsoft, which Firefox isnt, but its also used by PC people, which, as far as I know, Safari isnt?......
:))
Amen
Dom, I'm a Mac person too, and I like firefow, although the constant updates does get on your nerves. Not as bad as itunes, though, which SERIOUSLY updates and make you sign a new agreement every single time you open it. :(
LOL Christine, I am like you ... I know nothing and I don't want to know! I just want to click a button and have what I'm looking for be there! I am so computer illiterate and don't have a clue about anything except typing. I didn't know how to upload pictures until I joined DG!
Our household is Mac ONLY, the only brand allowed in our house since the very first one came on the market, which my DH probably still has stored in a closet somewhere! The University where he's been teaching for 34 years doesn't support Mac's but they did buy him a Mac desktop machine for his office and he uses his Mac laptop for teaching every day.
I don't know why I use Safari all the time instead of Firefox ... guess it's because that's what I started with and what I'm used to, sorta like Google instead of Yahoo search. I'm old and set in my ways I suppose. My DH knows Macs from inside out and he has tried over the years to teach me different things regarding stuff but I have a very difficult time grasping what he tries to tell me ... he's very technical minded and I am not! I have to write things down, need my notes to refer back to, and when a little "glitch" arises I get frustrated. LOL, I remember back in the days when there was no such thing as a "mouse" for the computer. When my DH got a mouse I thought it was a stupid "toy", then there was the track ball thing which I guess is what we have with our desk top machine. Aaah, progress in technology, I wonder what future computers will be like?
I, too, am a staunch MAC user and I tend to use Firefox almost exclusively.
Safari does not have the Ad and script stoppers that are available as a Firefox add-on. On the other side of the coin, I do need to use Safari to open some websites due to the pop-up blockers in Firefox. The website for my health plan is a good example; I cannot access my health plan website using Firefox because the browser blocks something the website needs to use to display the page and I cannot find a way to bypass the issue. (:o(
BTW, this is another great issue of Stemma, Mark!
Mike
I puncha da keys an I maka da words.....!
Bob takes care of the tough stuff...easier to be ignorant!!! We are PC but all his kids are Mac users/programmers etc. - guess we are an ambitechnological family!!!
