Leo is very sick at Vets

DD,s cat Leo disapeared several days ago. This morning he appeared half dead and the vet is not sure what the problem is.
It could be allergy to Chicken meat or a liver disease.They're doing tests but no results yet.He was dehydrated and upchucking. They may put him on IVs tonight.
Of course we're going thru everything we can think of for when he comes home. I've got receipes for homemade dogfood but have never seen any for catfood. Do any of you make your own catfood?
