I've been collecting dried zexmenia seed heads to try and harvest seeds. I haven't been able to find a picture of what the seeds look like. Can anyone tell me what they look like, show me a pic of the seeds, or point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Zexmenia Seeds?
Thank you Linda, I didn't have a picture of those, but the funny thing is I have never had good luck germinating them, have had much better luck with cuttings.
Thanks, Linda! I have some, I just didn't know which part was the seed since you have the bigger ones with 2 colors (the dark brown in the center then the lighter color on the outside of it) and then the one that are just the dark brown. I'm gonna try winter sowing them and see what happens!
They come up by the dozens here, so I don't have to worry about planting seeds! But I do wonder about other kinds of seeds....whether the smaller ones are very good for germination.
I'm going to try winter sowing them because I'd like to have some to put along the driveway by my garage. I usually don't have much success with cuttings, but I'll give that a try, too. Of course with all the seeds that have dropped from the plant during the summer, I might have enough to plant at every house on my street! LOL
