Took a look at the picture and was so happy to see that it was of a lily, my favorite flower. Too bad they don't last longer... like, forever.

Thanks!! In the meantime, I went to stormyla's profile page and there is a list near the bottom for her Bloom of the Days (or is that Blooms of the Day??)

Congratulations, Stormy! That's a lovely photo of a gorgeous lily, and doesn't everything look so lush and green in that photo??? Sure brightened up a very dreary rainy day here in VA. ^_^

By the way stormyla-
--Yes I am growing a little begonia for you, one which you said tyou'd like , a skinny-winged one I got from Jill.
--The nematocidal marigold is pretty rangy as you might expect from an uncultured, unhybridized plant. Floers are small and yellow. Plant gets 3-4 feet tall, or did for me anyhoo. As far as getting rid of nematodes, can't say one way or another. I'm speculating that I even have them.
These are two Q's that I never responded to from you--I think. Got lodt in the conversational shuffle.

Stormy, pretty. I've taken your suggestion that lillies don't necessarily need full sun, and planted four different kinds from end of season sales in my shade. I hope they thrive like yours do. I like pinks and whites, so if you have any particular faves in those shades, let me know... Terri

Thanks everybody!!!!! I've been so busy, I didn't even see this thread!! It takes forever to vote in that photo contest & I'm only half done. This particular lily is what sent me on my love of Oriental lilies. It is hard to come by as are most of the lilies in the American series. But there is a gal selling them on page 3 of the bulb category in the DG Marketplace, and she is very reasonable on the price.

Thanks, Sally, I'm sure I will love them. Any nematode butt kicker will be welcome in my garden!! They've really decimated a couple of my Hosta this year.
