Looking for Plants for Trade or SASE
I'm brand new here and I just wanted to clarify something, by SASE trades, do you mean that I don't need seeds to trade if I cover the cost of the letter? I just put a house in last summer and everything was bulldozed over except for the trees. Not that I had any plants before that, it was an old cow pasture/farm field. So I don't have anything to trade yet. But I am a terrible flower nut! I bought some "gardens" this spring and planted them and I have some perennials growing, but not flowering or putting out seed yet.
Tricia,
I do not have any rooted cuttings of P. racemosa, nor seeds, the rain washed away the pollen yesterday. Currently am trying to root a few cuttings, but P. racemosa is listed as one that is hard to root. I'll try to pollenate one of the flowers, let's hope one will set fruit.
BTW, any P. foetida sprouted for you yet?
Pigpen. SASE means stamps--(self address stamped envelope) Personally, I rather have the people put in the stamp-usually 2 along with slip with name/address/seeds wanted. I re-use old padded envelopes, as the P.O. won't take envelopes thicker than 1/4" (?) and that leaves out regular envelopes with the bubble wrap to protect the seeds. Hope this helps. If you want a selection of annual, bi-ennial, and perennials-hardy to zone 4. e-mail me ( I have sun/shade selection and would like to help a newbie. Marcia
