Someone gave me a poor passion flower. It was outside in the weather (ohio) and it is now somewhat yellow....I am wondering if I can bring it back out of it. Since ohio doesn't winter well for this, I am thinking more of a houseplant sorta thing..anyone else have done this?
Poor Passiflora- cold and kinda yellow.
I grow passies in the house, trim it if you can, keep it moist but not soggy, in the house with furnaces and ac's they need alot more water and as much sunlight as you can give them!
and put them in a hanging basket or give them something VERY sturdy to climb on
thank you! Should I cut them back? Since it was outside it is sorta yellow and some bugs were chewing on it it looks like. Or should I leave it til it is stronger? I am thinking of it climbing since i have better light for that than hanging.
I would trim it back, most passies only flower on the new growth, I cut the one back to about a foot on mine and the other one is just now a foot tall!
ok thank you! I appreciate the help
No problem, I like to d the not so normal with plants like grow passies in the house, so just feel free to find me anytime if I can help you I will if I not I know who can

hope you don't mind another question? I noticed that the person who gave it to me kept it under a pine tree (pine needles in the pot). I cleaned it all out but wondering if I should change the soil? Also, do you give it a regular fertilizer?
Thank you!

some liquid miracle grow every other week about, pine needles? should smell good then...LOL if you want to change the soil you can, it's not necessary.. ask all the questions you want apparently I'm the only one on DG who's ever tried to grow them in the house before, so we can both learn together. LOL
It's doing well, getting greener. I took all the pine needles out. lol. Gave it some fertilizer. Cut the plant down some. Ever grow some from seeds? I got 3 kinds of seed coming.
I just started some will have to see how they do
My poor passie has grown and is nice and green! I am wondering if anyone can tell me what size pot I am going to need when it is older?
Oh, that is gorgeous! I can't wait for mine to bloom! The one that was so sick before is now 3 feet tall so I must be doing something right. I am going to get a 2 gallon pot for it as that is what I have seen with them. I forgot all about phosphate! I have some triple super that I LOVE to use on my perennials outside!
Thanks!!
