Hello dear friends,
My father in law ( 87) admired my grape arbours today, and told me about his mom growing a huge amount of Shasta grapes.
They are green and so sweet, according to him
For my mother in law's 79th birthday I would like to buy them such a plant.
He might have the name wrong though, Plant search turned up nothing of the kind, neither did Google.
Who might have heard about this grape, has it changed names, popular names, or is the name all wrong?
Thanks, Christie
Looking for Shasta grape?
Sure he wasn't thinking about the soda they sell next to the orange crush???
I've never heard of that grape. Might be a local grape or something close to shasta? Is father in law from CA or is he from somewhere else??
Nope, it was a real grape :-)
He was born and raised in Cordelia CA ( I already bought him the Cordelia rose by David Austin!)
He might have the name wrong, he is a tiny cloudy lately :-(
