Just snapped this. My first brug and I am hooked. I love tropicals and their big blooms with big color. Breathtaking.
My baby
Congratulations! You are definitely hooked. Ummm, I love that color! How's her fragrance? Have you decided where you are going to overwinter her?
Do you know the variety name?
Beautiful color. Does it have a name?
I thought it was called Fragranti. However someone told me that that wasn't its name but the way the web site advertized that it is fragrant. This thing is so fragrant that even when it only had one bloom it smelled up the whole house. We have 2 cats and their box is in the sme room as this brug and we cannot smell the box over this things perfume.
I'm not sure how I will overwinter them. When the one that is blooming stops blooming I guess I will put it in a dark cool dry place. The other one I was thinking of trying to keep it going here in the house.
I have a good sized shed where I already overwinter 50+ fuchsias and another 2 dozen begonias. I could put them in it. They would stay dry and protected and not freeze,,,but it could get down into the 30's. Since I have 2 of them I'd like to try 2 different ways.
In your area it could be planted in the ground but it is a bit late for that, the roots will not have time to get settled in. The 30's is ok and if it gets colder they will come back from the ground. I live in Texas and we are only zone 8 so you are in better shape than I.
