very pretty

Very interesting plant. Thank you for featuring it.

Thanks Onewish!
Thank you also, Valleylynn. I see you are from the W. valley also. Nice to see you and happy you enjoyed the photos. Have you ever been to Dancing Oaks Nursery? This is were I took the photos of this plant. I had one about 6 years ago but it never reseeded, may need to get another one next year...

Yes, I have been to Dancing Oaks. One of my favorite places. : )
I made a new friend here on DG (she lives just outside of Dallas) and she works there. I will have to ask her about this plant, it is so interesting. Another favorite place for me is Daryll's Nursery here in Dallas. It's small but he has plants that do very well here, he does like Dancing Oaks, what he sells he usually has growing on his property.

It's one of my favorite places also. I have many of their plants in the PlantFiles.
I was going to check out Daryll's this Summer but never made it!! It will be on my list of places to go per your recommendation! I may just go there this weekend or next. Are they open year round?
I see they are open till Mid November.

I'm not sure. Here is a link to his nursery. http://www.daryllsnursery.com/
I've gotten some interesting plants from him. I love the Zauschneria californica. It's the orange flowered one with wonderful blue/grey foliage.
Do you live in Salem?
Lynn

I'm checking out the Nursery now I will look up the above Plant! Sounds interesting.
Yes, I live in Salem so not too far of a trip from here. If the weather is right I might just go tomorrow. If they are closed the trip is always a beautiful one.

I know this plant! Just didn't recognize the name.
