Is it just me or is Variegated the latest buzz word, fad in plants? Will this pass? How long has this been going on? OK, I am like the rest of you and I do find them more interesting. But, really, seems like a kinda new phase to me. At least there are more variegated forms of plants than ever before, right?

I wish I could find more variegated plants to buy. For instance, I've only seen the variegated versions of Monstera and Aspidistra in books. I really like the look of them but have never seen them for sale in the UK. Maybe they're easier to find in the US?
