Her blooms are white, has short tendrils and only 9" - 10" long, but I love her form and her fragrance. She can perfume an entire garden at night. But most of all she is very healthy. She spent winter in the ground and came back. This year, I'm going to try wrapping the main trunks through the first 2 "Y"s with pipe insulation before the first frost and leaving it on all winter. I will have a back up plant in the greenhouse.
Here's Audrey Hepburn
IEeek a spider! Don´t like those things. This one looks horrible. Never seen it before luckily.
But Audrey Hepburn looks great! I am jealous of your weather there. It is raining here and it looks like that it is going to rain the whole week.
Jori,
After being in an exceptional drought for 2 years, I'd take rain any ole day! The daytime weather is great right now, temperatures in the low 70s, but nighttime temperatures are getting too low — in the low 40s — a bit too close to the 30s and freezing weather.
I've had Audrey Hepburn for several years and she is still one of my favorites. She sets pods like crazy. I would love to have a yellow version of her.
We have had those spiders for several years now and there is at least one on most of the Brugs we have. They seem to go all year long and then make their egg sacks just before the first frost. That means we have them to deal with when we cut them back and root the cuttings. I try to take as many as possible and put them in the hoop-house.
I plan to spray my Brugs and use a systemic before I take them into the greenhouse. So I have to try to move them and their egg cases to other outdoor plants even if only temporarily.
