I found her nectaring on rotting persimmons, isn't she beautiful??
My First Red Spotted Purple, at last!!!
Yea!!! Congrats your your RSP!! Now, send it this way! LOL!
Was she at your house or one of the gardens you volunteer at?
She was at our house, and i was totally surprised to see her.
Bet you about broke you neck running for the camera, I know I would have. Good shots too.
She's beautiful indeed! Congratulations!
Thank you, it seems that the persimmons are attracting many different butterflies, I saw a Viceroy but was not able to get a picture, also many red admirals and question marks, and I got a picture of a snout which I will put up later, I am really excited.
Lots of queens and monarchs too.
OOOH a Viceroy too! I need to keep my eyes peeled!
That's fantastic! Glad to hear that more butterflies are up there! It's been such a slow year...now all these butterflies coming by in November...hope some stay for a while. The snouts have been all over. I see them all day long.
What are snouts ??

Don't feel bad Sheila, I bet you have spotted a lot of special ones that we haven't.
Was that picture taken at the Wildscape?
Yes, it was. That was the day Anna, Deb, you and I were there.
