Shell Ginger help

Houston, PA(Zone 6a)

I got a fantastice deal on a huge Varigated Shell Ginger. Should I cut it back and store it or should I try to keep the foliage on and keep it going through the winter?

Roxanne,
My experience with those has been to keep them from dying back. If they are allowed to die back, they do not have enough time to form the flowers. I have had mine 3 years and this is the first time they have bloomed and I live in zone 8b. I kept them in the greenhouse all winter.
