Is my hibiscus sterile?

Deltona, FL(Zone 9b)

Hello, I have a hibiscus... evangaline... that when it blooms, has not put out any pollen. Does this mean it is sterile or could it be a temperature cause? My other hibs don't seem to have this issue though... I'll post a couple of pics...

A close up... See how the pollen pods look? They never open...

Hi ,

It may just be the temperature, we have evangeline and it usually has a large amount of pollen, we have even had a seed pod develop from it. We do live in a different zone in our zone the temps are mild, I think the hottest it reached this year was 89 but most of our summer days were in the lower 80's. Hope this helps , don't give up I think as your temps decrease you will have better luck.

Update: Finally had some pollen, thanks Patrick! It must have been too hot. =)
