The Moon and your Luck

It is lucky to own a rabbit's foot:

Especially if the rabbit was killed in a cemetery, by a cross-eyed person, at the dark of the Moon.

I've always carried a bear claw for luck...

A Buckeye for luck here...

I've read Dell's Horoscope magazine just about all my life. Once I was going to run errands. All the different bits in it said it was not good for doing errands that day, so I decided to wait.

That evening saw a friend who was moaning and groaning that he'd tried to get a lot of things done, a list of about fifteen things. "All I got done was two things!!"

He said the whole day , it was: he'd go to the hardware store, and in a whole rack full of gizmos, the one size he needed would be sold out. And and and. The person he needed to see had just gone home, and so on.

When I did go to have my errand day, everything fell into place for me when I did go a few days later.

And I've always felt sorry for the rabbit. Wonder how that grisly tradition started?
