Scale on Gloriosa Daisies(rudbeckias)

Does anyone find that their rudbeckias are particularly prone to scale at the end of the season? Mine may not be getting quite enough sun and I think this may be making it worse.

wonder... sorry -- but I honestly do not know what scales are.
I also have to admit... lack of a lot of things this year... except cool weather...

first not enough rain, not enough HOT temps [my tomatoes did terribly] now, not enough sun to dry things out from all the rain....

There is a thread on Rudbeckias in the Perennials forum. You might post there also. I don't get scale much on plants here . . .
