Dream Angel

bossier city, LA

After a few threats of tossing this one over the fence, it finally held it blooms. I was very surprised to see one flower is a triple.

Sorry that I am not very good with a camera. Maybe one day I will learn to take pictures so that they will look better. But the fact that it was raining when I took this did not help either.

Have a great day.

Looking very good, just shows it is good to have patience sometimes, i suppose you had high heat in LA also and Brugs don't like those conditions once it cools off you will enjpy many blooms.

Thank you.

Yes we had several weeks of extreme heat. You are right some brugs do not like the extreme heat and will not do well until the weather suits them.

Have a great day

It is a beautiful soft pink.

That is a beautiful bloom.
It was worth the wait, wasn't it?

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Well it's surely a keeper.. a vry pretty flower indeed.. and a wonderful photo..come on Janice.. you have to admit you got a geat picture there.. foreground bru shows the luminosity of the clear flower... and the one in the background..has that luminosity also.. with the buildup of the clear/tinted petals looking like a darker inside flower.. it's a great brug there.....

Yes it was worth waiting for!! I have feel in love with this one.

Gordon thank you, if you only knew how many pics it took to get one good one. Either the wind was blowing the flower causing the pic to blurr. Or if it was not the wind, then it was the fact that my hands are not as steady as they were when I was younger. LOL

Thanks
Janice

Thisone is so pretty. i like the way it is doubled, without the skirts hanging down.
It is a very classy Brug.

Janice, You did such a great job on that photo! I love the transparent quality of that top skirt with each skirt looking darker and more opaque. Then finally that bit of moisture on the tendrils! Perfect!

Thank you Charlene & Betty. I really think it would have been a little darker if the weather conditions would have been better. We have got 52" of rain over a span of 2-3 weeks.

It is a wonder, you are not bogged down. I'm glad you are not.
Is that the only Brug you have or is this a silly question? i started
out with one Noid, now I have several. Got some down here
hopefully getting roots. guess I'll know in the spring.

Bogged down. So many people in Farmerville and Union Parish are flooded.

Charlene asking if this is the only brug I have is not a silly question. I have sereval brugs that I have collected thru the years.

This is a pic of Misti Morning that is usually a lot darker than this, but this weather is really messing up the color of my brugs.

Janice, that brug is beautiful. i love it. It is difficult to pick
out a favorite, isn't it??? I really can't tell which one I like best.
i guess the one I'm looking at-at that time is the favorite.
I saw a pumpkin colored one this summer I absolutely fell
in love with. the lady lost the tag but I still purchased the brug.
I have to wait til next summer to see what she looks like and
wait and watch, like I did this pink one I had this year. I think it is a labor
of love or infatuation. Brugs are not boring plants, at all.

No need to change your photography habits! :) The pic turned out beautifully! She's a special lady! Looks as if she was well worth the wait! Congrats on a beautful blooming Brug!

And please - do not toss her across the fence!! :)

I love the little bloom in the background, you need to put this in the photo contest dave has. It is a most beautiful
picture. I sure would not throw it away. Such a pretty delicate brug.
Love you for shareing.

Excellent photo and gorgeous brugmansia :)

Thank you for the compliments.
I have decided to keep her even though it was frustrating to see so many buds drop. Plus I would hate to see Mike in the woods searching for it if I tossed it over the fence.

I have the flashlight ready - even has brand new Duracell batteries! :)) And with all the rain you've been getting - may need to get out the scuba gear too!! lol!

Mike that is another pretty pic. Which brug is that. You are holding out on me. LOL

You could show up during the day light hours to go in the woods to get the plant so you would not need a flash light. But you might need the scubba gear!!! It is pouring rain again at this moment.

Yes..Great flowers there Mike...
It's got to be one of the largest flowers I'v seen doubled...
Janice... you've had plenty of rain there indeed... the rain you're now enjoying.. will be our rain on Wednesday during the day... but it's suposed to clear out... and be by us about the start of the World Series... here...Wednesday evening...

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

You guys are so funny!

Mike that is an incredible brug, what is it?

Janice, it is raining here again today. The brugs love it though but all that flooding killed my butterfly bush. I'm going to trim the butterfly bushes back and see if they will come back in the spring. If not, I'll dig out the butterfly bushes and plant more brug!!! HA! I don't plan on cutting down my brug until first hard frost, which is usually about 2-3 weeks away - closer to Thanksgiving.
