It's Raining, It's Pouring...

...my old man's out applying nematodes on the yard!! LOL I hope those little bugs don't float away!

We've had a little more than 3" since 5 AM. The ground was already soggy when I went out to check on the garden around 1pm.

"Mommy, when will it stop raining so I can go play in the mud??"

What a sweet face!

My garden is loving every minute of this rain. It is so crowded it has everything that I planted in the spring plus all my cole crops, greens, rootcrops and winter squash. My tomatoes are doing better then ever now if they will just get ripe BEFORE it freezes. I have 40+ tomato plants and everyone has tomatoes on it. I have every color tomatoes come in planted if they would just get ripe it would be like a rainbow.

Wow, that garden @ 1lisac 's in Liberty Hill sounds devine.

I came home yesterday afternoon to find my rain gauge overflowing at 5". We recieved almost 0.75" after that. I have brussel sprouts, greens and lettuce planted. The poor lettuce needs to have leaves picked up out of the dirt, but boy, we loved every inch of rain.

San Marcos, TX(Zone 8b)

San Marcos received 3 inches yesterday and more is coming on Thursday. I am keeping my mouth shut about too much rain. The new chilly weather has scared off some of the mosquitoes too. Everything is growing like crazy and many of my fruit trees tried to flower and fruit again. I plucked off all the flowers to save next years crop.

After the summer we had, I refuse to complain about the rain. My yard is mushy, but it's sure better than crunchy. :)

The lake in Waco is overflowing. They had to close it.

We dodged the bullet today.

Rain moved in last night and is still sprinkling this morning but "they" say we will have a week of nice weather coming up. Time to get those plants trimmed back and fall seeds out I guess.

Yes, throw out those Wildflower Seeds. With all this rain we are going to have a beautiful. spring

I was likely mistaken on our rain total for the 26th, probably had some rain already in the gauge. But we made up for it yesterday!
