Can you identify this moth?

St Augustine, FL(Zone 9a)

Found this beauty on the ground against the side of my house. Have a feeling it may have just emerged from the ground....sphinx moth? But bright green and not in either of my butterfly/moth books.

Thanks! Karen

Such a beauty! It looks like a Gaudy sphinx (Eumorpha labruscae)

How exciting! It was absolutely gorgeous and appears to have just emerged...which is why I was able to run in the house and get my camera. I have added three photos to the Bug Files.

Thanks for your identification.
