bunny berries to trade for plants

trying to get some feedback on the idea of trading rabbit manure for plants

I think it's a great idea! Bunny poo is great fertilizer!! Good luck with your idea!

I have a pair of rabbits (actually 2 girls) in a cage 3 ft by 8 ft on galvanized legs that sits with the wire floor about 3 ft above ground. It makes it easy to rake up the pellets or I can just leave them for awhile to compost naturally. I think one was originally litter box trained becuase it tends to do it's business in the food dish so I just empty it every day on a nearly plant. The plants haven't complainted. LOL. You would probably have to have a lot of rabbits to produce enough to make it worthwhile trading as it can be heavy shipping wise.

i dont have a lot of rabbits yet just checking out the market for them to see if they will sell. anyway I plan to have earthworms under the cages to compost the manure.

It will be great in your own gardens, plus maybe you could trade off your excess locally. A few bunnies produce a lot of poo. Like budgielover said, they would cost a bit to send as they are heavy. The great thing with rabbit poo is it is not a hot manure and you can use it right away without it burning your plants. It's great added to the compost pile too.

Honestly, with the price of feed, I don't know how profitable it would be. A lot more goes in than comes out. LOL
